"What makes Avenger® Weed Killer different from the leading synthetic herbicide and all those supposedly "natural" weed killers on the market?"  After all some of the others state that they are "natural" and/or "organic"?

Well, first off we are proud to say Avenger Weed Killer is an EPA registered product.  This means we've gone through the rigourous process of having our product tested and registered with the EPA. This also means all of our claims must be substantiated and proven before they can be printed on our label or appear at this website.

Next, Avenger Weed Killer has been Approved for Use in Organic Gardening/Organic Production by the USDA National Organics Program.  As proof, this seal  appears on our labels and in all of our advertising and marketing tools. Legitimate competing products should also display this seal or a seal that states "For Organic Production" in their labeling. If not, we encourage you to avoid the use of these products.

Avenger Weed Killer is also OMRI Listed (accredited by USDA National Organics Program).  OMRI provides organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing. OMRI reviews products against the National Organic Standards. Acceptable products are "OMRI Listed®" and appear on the OMRI Products List. (OMRI achieved USDA accreditation under International Organization for Standardization Guide in January 2008)

When tested against the leading synthetic herbicide glyphosate, Avenger was proven to be equally effective but faster acting and when tested against other organic and "natural" products on the market, Avenger was proven most effective time after time.

How does Avenger work?  Avenger's patented formula is made with natural citrus-oil (or d-limonene for those who want to know the technical name).  D-limonene (citrus oil) is a natural degreasing agent that strips the weed of its waxy skin (cuticle), causing it to dehydrate and die.

Our emulsion technology allows you to see where you've sprayed and sprayed areas can be re-planted within hours.  Avenger also works in cool and cloudy conditions (as low as 40º F) and is highly biodegradable.  Avenger is also considered GRAS (GRAS=Generally Recognized As Safe).
